A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…

with No Comments

Welcome to Holiday Season! I don’t know how we got here so fast- but here we are, closing out 2025, with hopes and dreams to build a better world ahead.

This past year was full of ups and downs, but I thought I’d share some of the small things that have made my year better, my days more yummy, my life more peaceful and enjoyable. My hope is they’ll add a bit of cheer to your life as well.)

Here are a few of my favorite things!

  1. ‘Magic’ Chocolate Bars, Smooth Coconut Praline flavor: If you know me, you know I have to start my list with chocolate! These bars were created by Dr. Bronner and were recently taken over by Magic Chocolate Inc.. They’re sweetened with coconut palm sugar, and are ROC (Regenerative Organic Certified). But mostly, they’re just delicious:)

  2. Daily Om Master Mushroom & Adaptogen Blend: This mushroom and adaptogen blend definitely has me thinking more clearly and calmly. Thank you, Lion’s Mane! I feel like I’m getting a little brain and energy boost every day with this powdered supplement.

  3. Aloha Bay Chakra Energy Candles made with essential oils are delightful. I love the smell, they make me feel calm, and they uplift my energy. The ‘Positivity’ is super comforting, especially during dark days or times. Often sold in health food stores or gem and crystal shops.

  4. Black Bean Brownie Recipe: For those who know me, this is no surprise. A fudgy, chocolatey brownie that’s also healthy and high protein? Sign me up! Recipe from detoxinista.com, where you can find a plethora of other great dessert recipes, like cashew butter chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, blondie bars, and more. ps- I use ‘Hu’ chocolate chips in her recipes that call for them.

  5. Urban Remedy Superfood Chocolate Chip Cookies: These are my favorite cookies on the market. There’s really no other cookie I’ve found that’s sweetened alternatively and made without high glycemic flours. These are made with nut flour and seeds, sweetened with coconut palm sugar, and are incredibly satisfying. Found in the Urban Remedy case/section of Whole Foods or other select grocery stores.

  6. Simple Mills Pancake mix: Sometimes, you’re just in the mood for pancakes! I love these, especially for holiday breakfasts or a homey Sunday morning. The ingredients are grain-free, sweetened with coconut palm sugar, and the mix is vegan (you’re supposed to mix it with an egg, but you could do a flax egg if you want to keep it vegan). They’re delicious! We’ve been making banana pancakes, although I’m sure blueberry or pear would be great too… and maybe even chocolate chip?

  7. Ultima Electrolyte Powder: I depend on this stuff! Especially when it’s hot out and I’m exercising and sweating a lot, it helps stave off a headache and makes my body feel hydrated and balanced. This powder is the best one I’ve found. It’s sweetened with stevia and doesn’t contain a ton of salt (like some of them do), making this great for general use. My favorite flavors are pink lemonade, raspberry, and watermelon.

  8. Yogi Teas: I’ve been really enjoying different flavors of Yogi tea depending on my mood. They’re hydrating and comforting and can often satisfy sweet cravings. Here are my favorites: Chai Rooibus (when I want something yummy, grounding and warming), Bedtime Tea (relaxing and satisfying at night), Green Tea Kombucha (nice to wake up my tastebuds and my energy), and Ginger (light, clean, and great for digestion).

  9. The ‘Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost’ documentary on Apple TV. I have to include this documentary in my list because of how beautiful and moving it is. It explores the lives and careers of Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, two talented and famous actor/comedians, and also the parents of actor/director Ben Stiller. It’s an honest, vulnerable, and humbling exploration of life, family, loss, struggle, and love. It inspired me, gave me perspective, and the art and humanity of it moved me to tears… and yet somehow comforted me as well. Recommended for all humans:)

  10. Mini Trampoline! And finally, my new favorite toy! A friend recommended this to me. It’s such a fun, energizing way to exercise, lift your spirits, and to build bone density!

Hope you enjoy:) Wishing you very HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
